Willam Frank Stevens
opened Steve's Auto Parts at 2707 East Michigan Avenue in 1946.
Steve was a beloved character who enjoyed driving his 1932 Zany (left),
a Lincoln with a yellow paint job and all Lincoln logos replaced with
chrome "Zany" emblems. He passed away in 1968, but the
business stayed in the family until 1995, when it was sold to
Eagle Auto Parts which still runs the yard. The original Steve's
building still stands, though boarded-up and used for storage.
