WKLZ, an early top 40 radio station in Kzoo used to be located on Schippers Lane on the east side. It came on the air in 1956 and was daytime only with 500 watts. Now it is owned by Fairfield Broadcasting and operates 24 hours a day with a talk format. (Contributed by Dan Eddington)
