Gas stations are an important part of American history and car culture.  As oil companies increasingly rely on high-profit items such as pop and snacks, and as niche services such as muffler and oil shops have multiplied, the old-fashioned service station has slowly disappeared.  Here are a few glimpses of Kalamazoo's oil past.
