Pete Stamos opened the Char Steak in 1960.  They served the finest charred steaks until the early 70s when the construction of the Hilton (currently the Radisson) leveled the whole block.  The Char Steak moved down Rose street next to Club Zorba, another Stamos business.  The second building was demolished in the early 90s.	Good times at the Char Steak!
